But I just wanted everyone to know that I give New Moon two thumbs up.
I have heard that the movie didn’t get very good reviews from the people who actually know what they are talking about but I find that the movies that they like, I do not, and the movies that they do not like, I am in love with. Needless to say, New Moon is a winner in my heart. Some things that I enjoyed about the movie:

1. I was pleasantly surprised by how closely the book was followed. I am always expecting there to be several changes that stray from the story as well as things that the writers remove and I am completely content with the fact that they cannot put every single thing in the book into the movie. With this being said, the writers of New Moon did a fabulous job of getting the point of the movie across without taking out or adding in a ton of things. It made me happy.

2. Although New Moon was my least favorite book of the series, I think that the movie will definitely not be the worst. It might be a stretch, but I think that if the movie was not better than the book, it was very close.

3. It made me not hate Jacob so much; the writers did a good job of not making him so whiney in the movie, which I greatly appreciate. I still do not like him though.

4. It was just all around a great movie. Although there are things that you will not get the full grasp of if you have not read the books, I think that they did a good job of making it appealing to people who are not really the reading kind.

In conclusion, I think that it was a great movie and I definitely say GO SEE IT! Some things were definitely better than Twilight but I think that Twilight is just so classic that I still love it just as much.

NOT. I am trying to write a paper right now for my religion class. The assignment for the paper is to make an argument about the way that Mark 1 portrays Jesus as a miracle worker. After about an hour and a half of reading over texts and browsing online, I have nothing. So here I am, writing a blog.

School is going really well. I love all of my classes and I am meeting lots of new and wonderful people. Although I have several aquantances, I would say I have 2.5 friends. The .5 is because this person is between an aquantance and a friend. Life is good.

I also got a job! It is for the boys and girls club. I am really excited to start. I could have had this job two weeks ago (it was my first interview) but I wanted something a little closer to campus so I decided to keep looking. After much dissapointment, I couldn’t find what I was looking for. I decided I shouldn’t be picky and greedy and I should be thankful for the job that I was offered so I called and told them I wanted to accept their offer. I went today to fill out some paperwork and I am going to start next week!

In other news, I donated blood yesterday. I was really excited because it was my first time donating. All was going well and I was relaxed and thinking about school when the girl next to me finshed up and was packing her things up. When people were walking through the aisle where the donations were happening, the nurses were telling people to watch the arms and make sure you don’t bump into them. They did not remind this girl. As she slung her bag over her shoulder and whipped around, her bag hit me right in the arm that had a huge needle sticking out of. It was painful. I didn’t say anything though and I just thought bitter thoughts about her carelessness and how oblivious she was to it even hitting me. Other than that the experience was awesome and I got a super cool shirt for it too!

One last note…You may know that I am a fan of Twilight and New Moon is coming out in November. They just released a new trailer that is amazing. I suggest you watch it.

Have a great day!

Today I finished reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer and I was very pleased with the ending. I won’t ruin it for people who have not read it but I am very excited for the second book to come out. I have been super obsessive over Stephenie Meyer and her books lately, it is actually really sad, but the more I think about her writing, especially the Twilight series, the more I wish these books were real. I have no idea why, but the stories are so passionate and ideal, I just wish that more people could experience that love in real life. Edward and Bella and Ian and Wanda and Mel and Jared just have a love that is fulfilling and that is why the books are so amazing. And my favorite thing about their love is that it is so pure. AH! It is just awesome!

In addition, when I went to Forks, it just made me even more excited about the story and and for Twilight the movie to come out and it just confirmed my wishes of the book being a reality. I totally feel like a freak because I love it so much but my sister is in the same boat so I guess that it makes me feel a little better.

If you are interested in the Twilight series, here are some of the pictures that I took on my trip to Forks.
